About Us and story.

A little bit History

Linda and James Smith opened their nonprofit in October of 2013. Linda and Jim live in Maury County with their two dogs Kona and Taylor. Both loves to travel and work in their gardens. They attend a nearby church and serve when volunteers are asked for within the area of Maury County

LEGACY LIFE CARE PROGRAMS WON THE 2024 AWARD FOR LOCAL BUSINESS FOR THE BEST OF 2024 FOR GENUINE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FEEDBACK WITH OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION FROM RECENT ONLINE REVIEWS BY OUR CUSTOMERS-----Jim and Linda do Refurbishment Projects for startup companies, have refurbished several upscale skilled units in Florida and Tennessee to Linda's credit, and her team volunteered in the past with planted beautiful lilies near the Mt. Pleasant Airport in Mt. Pleasant.

Linda is an Estate Planner, Wills and Advance Directives as an Administrator for Legacy and is a Public Tennessee Notary.

Military Family History and Supports

Linda and Jim have four children and several grandchildren. Linda and Jim support military families and both have family history of military family members with military service background and the willingness to work with veterans when able to help counsel or coach them. Jim is a retired fire captain from Columbia Fire Department.

Legacy board members all share in the mission purpose and intent of LLCP (Legacy Life Care Programs) services that we offer to those participants who need them. We have managed adult day care programs, supported and worked as Linda's nursing home administrator programs, assisted living programs through administration, and Legacy continues to work with Linda as she remains a great consulting contracted employee working on Legacy as our primary counselor.

Linda has outsourced out as a nursing home and assisted living administrator consultant throughout the years of operations. Linda serves as a active counseling consultant over client base and client programs development with Legacy.

Currently, Linda Smith serves as the primary practitioner as MMFT/Administrator over the licensed Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Agency, licensed at 100 North Bigby Drive Office, Columbia, TN., in Maury County, Tennessee.

Practitioner under Site Supervision

All professional therapists are contracted consultants who are contracted to provide expert services in what their licensed area allows. Linda demonstrates specialized services with couples, individuals, families and groups that also requires weekly case management and supervision over Linda's MMFT counseling services to clients. Linda holds a TNL-1814 Associate MMFT license and is preparing to take state boards in the near future to further her advancements in licensure.

Linda graduated with a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy through NCU-a National Accreditation in Marriage and Family Therapy master level diploma degree in July 2020. with specialized emphasis in Family Therapies. Case Management and supervision meet weekly to discuss case load and recommendations for client needs.

Randy Halstead holds a Tennessee licensed LMFT, along with a PhD., and works as Linda's site supervisor oversight with Linda meeting virtually online at the location office at Columbia, TN where Linda and her supervisor meet weekly for case management oversight of her client base. Directions and supervised feedback help ensure client supports and often is taken back to clients to discuss.
